At La Canopée, the school holidays are an opportunity to enjoy a week entirely in English, led exclusively by teachers from our school—with no external instructors—in a caring and stimulating environment. Our holiday camps run from 9 am to 5 pm, with lunch included, and are open to children aged 3–5 and 6–11, whether or not they attend the school. Children are grouped by age, with small group sizes to make the most of their English immersion experience. Each week centres on a theme, with a variety of activities combining creativity, discovery and natural English language learning:
- Songs & drama: short sketches and songs linked to the theme, helping children build vocabulary and enjoy expressing themselves in English.
- Cooking & science: hands-on, sensory activities that encourage learning by doing—all in English.
- Arts & crafts: creative projects that develop imagination and self-confidence.
All activities are led by our native English-speaking teachers, Jenni and Leah, who have been part of the La Canopée team for several years.

🍂 Autumn — 19–23 October 2026
Ages 3–5: Planets and Space
An exploration of the solar system entirely in English, with crafts (rockets, astronauts and planets), cooking activities (cookies, rock cakes and fruit rockets), games and puzzles.
Ages 6–10: Among Gnomes and Trolls
A week exploring Scandinavian folklore, inspired by John Bauer’s illustrations: dance and drama in the mornings, drawing and costume-making in the afternoons, and an end-of-week performance for the whole school.

Ages 3–5: Dinosaurs
Fossil digs, crafts (dinosaurs, skeletons and eggs), cooking and drawing inspired by the prehistoric world.
Ages 6–10: Stone Age
A week discovering prehistoric life: how our ancestors lived, hunted, gathered food, made tools and created art, with stories told around the fire.

Ages 3–5: Community Workers
An introduction, in English, to the people whose jobs keep a community running: firefighters, doctors, bakers, postal workers and more.
Ages 6–10: Astrid Lindgren’s World — Pirates, Magical Lands and Friendship
An exploration of pirates, wild forests, magical lands, brave heroes and unforgettable friendships, inspired by the world of Astrid Lindgren.

A journey from the sea’s surface to the ocean depths, featuring boats, sandcastles, fish and ocean creatures.
